The MCAMW & Women in Mechanical Industry (WiMI) asks for your help to support our 3rd year of giving to the iThrive Worldwide Care Bag Drive. With the generous donations of our contractor members, we have contributed over 200 care bags to children aging out of the region's foster care system. Many of these children have no place to go and often find themselves homeless, sleeping in the streets or in homeless shelters.
iThrive Worldwide has dedicated their work to paving the way for foster care youth and providing appropriate resources that will allow for a higher quality of life. Part of this path is providing care bags to these foster care children.
This year we have set a GOAL of 150 Care Bags to be donated to the iThrive initiative. With the support of Contractor members, WiMI chapter and Industry Partners we are confident that we will reach this goal!
How to Get Involved
Make a Monetary Donation: Each bag filled with the essential toiletries, blankets and necessities costs approximately $30 to fill. By making a contributing donation to cover the cost of the bags, MCAMW will purchase the necessary items and pack the bags for you.
Contractor/ Employee Filled Bags: Please let us know how many bags you wish to fill with the items listed on iThrive Packing List (tab above) and MCAMW will ship the bags directly to your office. We kindly ask that you ship or deliver the filled bags to the MCAMW Office no later than December 16th at 4PM.
With the kindness and support of our contractor members, the MCAMW has supplied over 200 care bags and donate over $3,000 to support the iThrive Care Bag Drive. An initiative of iThrive Worldwide, a charitable organization dedicated to supporting local youth in need.
We hope to continue to support the iThrive with the help of our members this year.
