MCAMW is gearing up for its' 21st Annual Heat's On, Water's Off
community event!
DATE: Saturday, October 7th, 2023
TIME: 6:30am - 2:00pm
LOCATION: Plumbers and Gasfitters UA Local 5 Training Facility
5000 Forbes Blvd, Lanham, MD
This is a community assistance event involving the joint efforts of Steamfitters Local 602, Plumbers Local 5, the Prince George's County Department of Family Services and the Prince George's County Fire Department.
The purpose of this event is to inspect and make minor repairs to the mechanical systems of approximately 14 homes of the elderly in preparation for the upcoming winter months. The Prince George's County Department of Family Services visits each home verifying that the recipients qualify for the program.
Calling All Contractors & Industry Partners!
We need your help in the form of qualified mechanics and apprentices to service homes for those in need. The plan is pair up one plumber and one steamfitter per truck.
If you are unable to volunteer but would like to donate, we gladly accept donations of gift cards, raffle items and smoke/carbon monoxide combination detectors. The raffle is our way of showing thanks to the volunteers for their willingness to participate in this event.
