Chelsea advises employers in labor and employment matters, with a focus on traditional labor issues (including collective bargaining and union elections). She has successfully defended businesses against administrative charges and litigation before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), state agencies, and in labor arbitration's.
She regularly provides compliance advice and preventative training to employers, including the development and establishment of essential employment policies and handbooks to address multi-state needs. She counsels employers on real-time, complex employment decisions, such as difficult terminations, disability accommodation requests and internal investigations in response to discrimination and harassment complaints.
While in law school, Chelsea served as a law clerk to an Administrative Law Judge at the NLRB in Washington, DC. and investigated charges with the Regional office of the NLRB. She was a member of the Public Contract Law Journal and recieved the ABA/BNA Academic Award for Excellence in Labor & Employment Law.
