Marie Patterson is an Assistant Professor at California State University, Chico in the Construction Management Department. Additionally, she is an advisor to the Chico State Women in Construction and Mechanical Contractors Association student clubs.
Her twenty-year industry career has included project management, pre-construction, and business development roles for specialty piping contractors with a focus on advanced technology and pharmaceutical markets. She has also worked within ownership and management roles overseeing facility renovations and energy management.
Patterson is the Director of Student Outreach for WiOPS’ Northern California Chapter and has been a part of the Northern California chapter since its inception in 2017. She also serves on MCAA’s Career Development Committee. She enjoys learning and collecting certifications in her spare time, like LEED AP, C.E.M., and Assoc. DBIA.
